Variety’s inaugural Power of Law event on April 14 drew 200 guests and honorees to Beverly Hills.
- It featured a Q&A with Skip Brittenham, founder of law firm Ziffren Brittenham, and Variety co-editor-in-chief Claudia Eller.
- Kenneth Kleinberg, founding partner of Kleinberg, Lange, Cuddy & Carlo, was honored at the event for his contributions to medical research related to the prevention, treatment and eradication of kidney disease.
The 10th annual Power Lawyers breakfast was put on by The Hollywood Reporter on April 20 at Spago in Beverly Hills.
- The event featured a conversation between filmmaker Jon Favreau and Matt Belloni, The Hollywood Reporter’s executive editor. They discussed Favreau’s new Disney film, “The Jungle Book.”
- General Counsel Rita Tuzon, executive vice president at Fox Networks Group, was honored at the event with the “Raising the Bar” award, presented by Peter Rice, chairman and chief executive officer of Fox Networks.
