Martha Henderson, executive vice president and manager of City National Bank’s entertainment division, was one of the honorees at Variety’s Power of Women event, which featured the most influential women in Hollywood.
Henderson, the only banker singled out for the award, was recognized during a lunch at the Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons on Oct. 14.
“It’s a great privilege for me to be honored by Variety,” Henderson said. “I’m thrilled to stand alongside so many powerful women who are making a difference in the entertainment industry and all around the world.”
Additional honorees included Helen Mirren, Oscar-winning actress; Scarlett Johansson, star of “Avengers: Age of Ultron” and “Lost In Translation”; Miley Cyrus, singer, songwriter and actress; Laverne Cox, star of “Orange Is the New Black” and “Doubt”; and Ava DuVernay, director of “Selma” and “A Wrinkle in Time.”
“For the past eight years, Variety has had the honor and pleasure of identifying leading women in entertainment who are dedicated to improving the community through the worthy causes they support,” said Claudia Eller, Variety co-editor-in-chief.
