City National Bank Names JoAnn Gast and Sally Rumsey

as Branch Manager and Client Services Officer, Respectively,

to Serve Silicon Valley Area

The opening of a full-service office in Palo Alto last monthmarked City National's continued expansion into Northern Californiaand its dedication to the unique needs of Silicon Valley's successfulcompanies and entrepreneurs.

Gast comes to City National with more than 30 years of bankingexperience in a broad range of positions. As vice president/branchmanager of the Palo Alto Banking Office, her responsibilities willinclude overall branch management and business development.

Prior to joining City National, Gast served for four years asMenlo Park branch manager/private banking deposit officer for ComericaBank California. She has held a variety of local positions with WellsFargo Bank, including branch service manager, private banking depositofficer, and senior personal banking officer.

A long-time resident of San Mateo, Gast taught banking programsfor eight years at San Mateo Community College and is active in manycommunity organizations. She is a member of the Menlo Park Chamber ofCommerce and has served as a classroom instructor for JuniorAchievement, among many other accomplishments.

Rumsey, also a 30-year veteran of the banking industry, comes toCity National from Mid-Peninsula Bank where she served as serviceofficer. As assistant vice president/client service officer of thePalo Alto Banking Office, Rumsey will oversee day-to-day branchoperations.

Rumsey began her career at Wells Fargo Bank where she served asassistant operations officer. She spent several years with ComericaBank, where she was branch assistant. Prior to joining City NationalBank, Rumsey was a service officer for Mid-Peninsula Bank. She isactively involved in numerous community support activities.
