City National will make immediate donations of $25,000 to both the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund - California Wildfires and the United Way Southern California Wildfire Recovery Fund. In addition, the bank will match up to $50,000 in donations by its 2,900 colleagues.
City National also said it will work with its clients on a case-by-case basis as they seek to recover from damage caused by the fires. Clients who need help should contact their relationship managers or local branch managers. They also can call a special toll-free number at 866.792.8301.
"Our hearts go out to the thousands of people who have been affected by these devastating fires," said Russell Goldsmith, City National's chairman and chief executive officer. "We will do what we can to help our colleagues, clients and the communities we serve."
The American Red Cross is providing fire victims with emergency relief, helping to meet their immediate needs like food, shelter, clothing and housing. The United Way will support longer-term recovery services tied to housing, mental health, quality child care, job training and more.
