LOS ANGELES, Apr 2, 2003 (BUSINESS WIRE) - City National Bank,the largest bank headquartered in Southern California, announced todaythat Paul S. Nussbaum has joined the company as executive vicepresident and manager of its Westside/San Fernando Valley Region.
In this position, Nussbaum will oversee City National's CommercialBanking Services and Private Client Services teams and be responsiblefor the delivery of City National's premier private and businessbanking throughout West Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley. Healso will serve on the bank's executive committee.

Nussbaum brings to City National more than two decades ofprofessional banking experience. He spent the last 10 years with WellsFargo Bank, where he most recently served as senior vice president andregional commercial banking manager in its Beverly Hills office. Priorto that, Nussbaum managed Wells Fargo's regional commercial bankingoperations in Colorado. From 1994 to 1996, he worked in Irvine, Calif.as vice president and relationship manager of the company's commercialbanking group. For six months in 1995, he served as a loaned executiveadvisor to Orange County's bankruptcy recovery team.
Nussbaum's previous experience includes real estate lending, loanreview and asset disposition for several organizations, includingAmerican Savings and Loan Association. He began his career as afinancial and credit analyst with Dun and Bradstreet in Los Angeles in1980.
Active in the community, Nussbaum serves on the board of directorsand executive committee of Stephen S. Wise Temple, the board ofdirectors of Jewish Family Service and the board of trustees for theSimon Wiesenthal Center Museum of Tolerance. He is a past recipient ofthe Jerusalem Leadership Award from the Orange County JewishFederation.
A graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles,Nussbaum holds a bachelor's degree in international relations. He andhis wife, Laurie, reside in Encino, Calif. with their two sons.
