LAS VEGAS, NV
– City National Bank today announced that it has hired Rita Vaswani as vice president and financial sales advisor for its Tropicana branch at 2320 E. Tropicana and Eastern Avenue. Vaswani is a well-known banking professional who has worked in the industry in Las Vegas and southern California for nearly 20 years.
In her new capacity, Vaswani will be responsible for developing new clients through referrals and calling efforts. She will also be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients to deepen these relationships through developing solutions to cross-sell all City National products and services. She will also network through various civic and trade organizations to generate new business opportunities and to promote City National.
Vaswani will report to Dean Collins, vice president and area manager of City National's Tropicana and Hughes Center branch offices. Vaswani will be located at the bank's Tropicana branch, but will spend the majority of her time out of the office networking with business contacts both inside and outside of the bank.

Vaswani has worked for several banks including Bank of Nevada where she most recently served as vice president and relationship manager. She also worked for Citibank and Primerit Bank as a branch manager. Vaswani also spent some time in the hospitality industry working for Caesars Palace, the Venetian and Bellagio Hotel and Casinos as director of Middle East, Philippine and India Casino Marketing. Prior to moving to Las Vegas in 1992, Vaswani served as a branch manager and district marketing coordinator for Bank of America in Los Angeles, and as vice president and branch sales manager for Wells Fargo Bank in Glendale, California.
Vaswani is a graduate of St. Theresa's College in Cebu City, Philippines, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. She also attended California State University Northridge, where she studied Marketing and Cost Accounting. Vaswani is fluent in speaking and writing several foreign languages, including Tagalog, Visayan, Hindi, Sindhi and Spanish.
Vaswani is actively involved in the community serving as a board member or volunteer for several nonprofit organizations, including president and chairman of the Las Vegas India Chamber of Commerce, and as vice chairman of the Board of Governors for Centennial Hills Hospital. She has also served as a member of the Judicial Ethics and Election Practices for the State of Nevada, as a board member of Family and Child Treatment (F.A.C.T.), as chairman of the India Tourism Advisory Council, and more.
