LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 10, 2006--City National Bank,California's Premier Private and Business Bank(R), today announcedthat Senior Vice President Arpy Zakarian has been named businessdevelopment sales manager for its Core Banking Division.

In this newly created position, Zakarian will manage and direct ateam of business banking consultants, delivering City National's fullrange of credit, deposit and cash management services to smallbusinesses throughout California.

Zakarian, who joined City National as manager of its Encinobanking office in 1999, has more than 20 years of experience in thefinancial services industry.

Based at City National's San Fernando Valley Regional Center inSherman Oaks, Calif., she now will report to Marti Ortiz, senior vicepresident and director of sales management for Core Banking.
