RENO, NV – City National Bank, Nevada’s Premier Private and Business Bank®, today announced that it has hired Nick Webber as vice president and private banker for its northern Nevada Private Client Services (PCS) group.  Webber is a 33-year veteran of the banking industry in northern Nevada who joins City National through its acquisition of Sun West Bank.
 
In his new capacity, Webber will be responsible for relationship and risk management, client retention and business development of high net worth individuals and professionals services firms.  He will work very closely with other areas of the bank, such as the branches and lending areas, to help grow the client base of PCS and Wealth Management in Nevada.
 
Webber will be located at the bank’s new Reno Regional Center at 5470 Keitzke Lane, Building #3.  He will report directly to Randy Boesch, senior vice president and manager of Nevada PCS for City National Bank.

Prior to joining City National, Webber served as vice president and senior lending officer for Sun West Bank.  During his tenure in banking, Webber has served in a variety of positions for several local banks, including Wells Fargo Bank as a private banker, Nevada State Bank as a commercial real estate loan officer, and First Interstate Bank where he started his banking career as a management trainee in 1977.
 
Webber is a graduate of Chico State University, Chico, California, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Concentration Management.  He also attended Truckee Meadows Community College and earned a number of banking certificates from the American Institute of Banking (AIB), including Principles of Banking and Operations, Finance, Accounting and more.
 
Webber is very active in the community serving as a board member or volunteer for a number of nonprofit organizations.  His community involvement includes serving as a board member and past president and treasurer of the Truckee Meadows Boys & Girls Club, chairman of the Desert Nevada Area Council for the Boys & Girls Club, and past director of the Reno Rodeo Association.
