LOS ANGELES – City National Bank, California's Premier Private and Business Bank, has appointed Jennifer Van Bergh as senior vice president and regional commercial banking manager for Orange and San Diego counties.
Van Bergh leads a three-office team of financial services professionals providing credit, depository and cash management services to middle-market companies in Orange and San Diego counties. The Commercial Banking Services Division, working closely with the company's Private Client Services and Wealth Management divisions, provides California entrepreneurs and professionals, their businesses and their families with complete financial solutions.
Van Bergh, who is based at the bank's Orange County Regional Center in Irvine, reports to Rod Banks, executive vice president and head of City National's Commercial Banking Services Division.
“We're delighted to have Jennifer leading our Orange and San Diego county teams,” said Banks. “She has a keen insight into the regional marketplace and brings the private and commercial banking expertise that will help our clients meet both their personal and business needs.”
Van Bergh also will work closely with Kevin Dunigan, executive vice president and Orange County regional executive.
“Given her extensive business and community relationships in Orange County, Jennifer is an ideal addition to our leadership team,” said Dunigan. “We look forward to having her play a key role in our expansion efforts throughout the region.”
A 26-year banking industry veteran, Van Bergh previously served as senior vice president and regional director of Wachovia Bank's wealth management practice in Orange County. From 2004 to 2008, she directed Citigroup's private banking office in Costa Mesa. She earlier held senior business development positions with the commercial banking units of Bank of America and Wells Fargo Bank.
She is an alumna of the University of California, Los Angeles, where she earned a bachelor's degree in economics.
A resident of Newport Beach, Van Bergh is a trustee of the Orange County Museum of Art. She also co-founded The Harvesters, a women's group supporting the Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County, the county's largest hunger relief non-profit organization.
