A grand opening celebration was held in Summerlin, Nev. on Sept. 18 at the City National Arena, the official practice facility of the Vegas Golden Knights. City National is the official bank of Las Vegas' new professional hockey team.
With a ceremonial drop of the hockey puck, City National CEO and Chairman Russell Goldsmith and Knights owner Bill Foley - alongside a host of Nevada elected officials and dignitaries - declared the new stadium open.
“City National is proud to become the official bank of the Vegas Golden Knights and to put our name on the team's outstanding new City National Arena across the street from our Nevada banking headquarters," Goldsmith said. “Since City National has been providing outstanding business and private banking and investment management here in Las Vegas for over a decade, we are very enthusiastic about Bill Foley and the Golden Knights ushering in a new era of major league sports for Nevada."
