LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 20, 2006--City National Bank,California's Premier Private and Business Bank(R), announced todaythat Thomas A. Hill has joined the company as a vice president withthe Export Finance Group in the International Banking Servicesdivision.
Hill will be responsible for new business development andproviding product support for international calling officers andrelationship managers. He will administer export finance loanstructures and assist colleagues in delivering export finance productsto clients, particularly including programs backed by theExport-Import Bank of the United States (Ex-Im Bank).
Specifically, they include the Working Capital Guarantee Program,an asset-based credit facility that provides exporters with greateraccess to working capital needed to fulfill overseas orders, and theInternational Buyer Credit Program, medium- and long-term buyerfinancing that allows U.S. exporters to offer multi-year repaymentterms to their foreign buyers when financing is otherwise notavailable or there are no economically viable interest rates onshort-term financing.
Based in downtown Los Angeles, Hill will report to Tom Burr,senior vice president and manager of the International department'sExport Finance Group.

For the past six years, Hill was the president of Washington,D.C.-based Trade Finance Associates, which three years ago opened aLos Angeles office to provide structured export finance solutions,project financing and corporate debt advisory for middle-marketcompanies in Southern California. Previously, he was a vice presidentwith GMAC Commercial Finance, and a senior manager withThomson-CSF/Thales in Alexandria, Va., where he was responsible forarranging export finance solutions for more than a dozen of thecompany's U.S. subsidiaries.
Hill earned a bachelor's degree in economics and political sciencefrom Towson State University in Towson, Md., and a master's degree inbusiness and finance from Johns Hopkins University. He resides inHermosa Beach, Calif.
